Ouskool | Rhône-style Red

R385.00

Syrah delivers white pepper, cigar box, leather and smokiness. Mourvèdre reminds us of the smell of soil when it starts to rain. Grenache is known for its red cherry and stawberry flavours while Viognier is the spice rack and delivers notes of apricot and white fleshed peach. A fully-loaded Bartho signature with well-judged, silky tannin and sublime fruit intensity. The satin texture with floral nuances adds extra charm. A sophisticated wine with a gentle extended finish.

Description

Sommelier note: Rolled pork ribs stuffed with prunes. Kudu knuckles served ossu bucco style.

Winemakers note: A selection of our 10 best barrels (new and second fill small French oak). It drinks well now but if you can delay the pleasure you’ll have it back with interest for anything up to 10 years and possibly beyond.
